Commercial refrigeration repair in New York City. Reach-ins, prep tables, display cases and bar coolers, diagnosed before anything gets replaced.

If it heats or cools, it’s handled.

What we work onAll makes and models(B&M — 01)

We repair commercial refrigeration for restaurants, bars, hotels, bakeries, butchers and catering kitchens across New York City.

Equipment we repair and maintain, all makes and models, glycol machines included:

Reach-in refrigerators and freezers, lowboys and undercounter units. Defrost timers and controls, condensing units, condenser coils and door seals.

  • Lowboys
  • Undercounter units

A prep table that stops cooling can look like a dead compressor when the real fault is a burnt terminal harness, a start relay or an overload. We check those before anyone quotes a compressor.

  • Prep tables
  • Compressor terminals
  • Start relays
  • Run capacitors

Display cases, deli cases and fish cases that have to hold product at temperature in front of customers.

  • Fish cases

Back-bar coolers that freeze the garnish or sweat. We check the coil, the defrost and the door seals, and look at the matching units while we are under the bar.

  • Back-bar coolers
  • Defrost
  • Door seals

Compressors and condensing units, evaporators, expansion valves, driers and drains. New valves are brazed in, the system is evacuated and superheat is set with the box running.

  • Evaporators
  • Expansion valves
  • Drain lines

Iced coils, defrost and controls, condensing units and floor builds. Walk-ins have a page of their own: walk-in cooler and freezer repair.

Common questions about commercial refrigeration repair

Yes. We work on all makes and models of commercial refrigeration, from reach-ins and lowboys to display cases and glycol machines, and we are a Universal Coolers authorized service provider.

Not always. On one restaurant prep table the compressor was healthy and the connectors on its terminals had burnt; a new harness fixed it. Have the connections checked before anyone quotes you a compressor.

Often it is the defrost. When a mechanical defrost timer stops, the coil never defrosts, ices a little more each day and the box can no longer hold. A new timer and a thawed coil had one freezer back to temperature overnight.

A working thermometer that shows the box holding below 41°F, condensation and leaks, and mold in the ice machine. More in our note on what the health department looks for.
